Prith B is a contemporary painter specialising in female portraiture, landscape and the body. Her work is full of colour and each painting has a story to tell.

You can view her artistic journey though her early large abstract works, then her move to landscapes and now portraiture.

Exhibitions: Prith had her first solo show, ‘Sky Body Spirit’ in October 2022, view here. More recently she exhibited at Riverfront Arts in Newport. Video below.

Prith also works in primary schools and the community encouraging children to develop their art and creativity. This inspired her to write and illustrate her own children’s books.

Over the past 2 years she has been working on the theme of ‘reclaim your body’. This work has now extended into workshops with women.

I love to tell stories through my work. Stories of women that have been forgotten or haven't been given the recognition they deserve. Women like the Indian artist Amrita Sher-Gil. She was working at the time of Picasso and Matisse, well known in India, but in the West we are only just getting to hear about her. She died tragically aged just 28.
